He never shows his face.
Mord Fustang. Already winning my affection by using a spoonerism as his name, this Estonian DJ manages to pull off a catchy blend of styles similar to Wolfgang Gartner, deadmau5, and Skrillex all-in-one. Not too many people know about him, which is surprising, as he’s a very talented producer and also puts on an fantastic and energetic live show. He’s actually spinning a set at the Lizard Lounge tomorrow night, 12/9, so definitely make plans to go if you enjoy the following tracks… and I’m fairly sure you will! :]
Mord Fustang – Milky Way
Mord Fustang – Lick the Rainbow
Mord Fustang – A New World
Froidz – Finally (Mord Fustang Remix)
Morgan Page – In The Air ft. Angela McCluskey (Mord Fustang Remix)

Bassnectar is playing at the local Palladium Ballroom this Halloween, and I know that many people only know him for the extreme popularity of his live shows. And I’m sure even more folks are going simply because it’s something to do on October 31st. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I’m writing this post to introduce you to at least a few solid songs that he’s likely to spin before you casually waltz into the presence of this intelligent & creative musical artist.
Bass Head: “It’s like dubstep at warp speed, or more of that crazy mutant half-time jungle with hyphy 808 bass and a mega-sticky hook.”
Upside Down: “A massive banger of dubstep, drum & bass, and hip hop.”
Ellie Goulding – Lights (Bassnectar Remix): The combination of Ellie’s unique vocals and Lorin’s heavy beats are nothing short of greatness.
Wildstyle Method: “An incredibly dense track oozing aggressive hip/hop influenced basslines and frequency-stretching melodies.”
Bassnectar & Jantsen – Red Step: Yet another bomb that is 2 filthy 4 wordz.
Got any other good suggestions? Please comment and let me know!

Despite the fact that I really want to post a lot of songs that have withstood my personal test of time, I figure it’s also important to showcase tracks that are relatively new. And there’s been a lot of pretty rad electro, dubstep, and complextro that’s been released within the last month, so here’s what I’ve come up with.
Debuted on Radio 1 last week. I’m always hungry for anything of Feed Me.
From a few weeks ago. Starts off with Adam K’s signature progressive sound, suddenly hits you with BT’s complextro bridge, and then returns to sanity.
This came out last month. Although this version currently has less than 10% of the views of Flux Pavilion’s remix, the original is miles better.
From Porter Robinson’s new EP, Spitfire, released in September. I’m positive that he is going to get big in the EDM scene relatively soon. And since he’s only 19, I expect even greater things from him in the future. Oh yeah, I’m even seeing him at Lizard Lounge tomorrow! DFW friends, come support. 😀
This amazing promo video is from the beginning of this year, but less than 24 hours ago, The M Machine finally released “Promise Me a Rose Garden,” which can be found at their Soundcloud page here. Melodic, roaring 20’s-style indie vocals with a strong bass line and electro kicks.
